MR SAJ is a London-Born DJ, producer, musician, and visionary whose sound reflects the city’s rich cultural tapestry. Raised in a diverse environment, he was exposed early to a wide spectrum of musical influences, each contributing to the evolution of his distinctive style.
Best known for seamlessly fusing traditional South Asian music with the vibrant rhythms of Africa, MR SAJ creates genre-defying sonic experiences that feel both deeply rooted and forward-thinking. With musical foundations spanning Eastern and Western traditions—from Carnatic percussion to guitar—his productions and performances transcend cultural boundaries.
He is the Creative Director of AfroDesi, a global cultural fusion brand and immersive music-and-dance experience that celebrates the intersection of African and South Asian culture. Through AfroDesi, MR SAJ has curated, organized, and headlined shows across the world, building a powerful platform for cross-cultural expression. He has built a strong community in both London and New York.
His international journey has seen him headline major cities including Calcutta, Chicago, Colombo, Dar es Salaam, Dubai, London (his hometown), Los Angeles, Mumbai, Nairobi, New York, Oakland, and Washington DC. Most recently, he completed a five-city USA tour in November 2025, further cementing his reputation as a global artist and cultural connector.
